Let me share with you a little secret. Tomorrow is picture day. I am buying those school pictures. I made a $4 investment and I will get something almost worth $4. I HAVE to get the school pictures. And honestly, my kiddo would love to be the subject of my portraits every single day. Those pictures are, well, they are fine. They are the rights of passage. They are the pictures that go in the scrapbook that make you sigh and remember exactly the moment in time that you got ready for those pictures. I looked around the ice cream shop tonight (we went to Oberweiss for my birthday ice cream) and I saw a half dozen of kids with their front teeth missing. They were all about my babies age and they might just be getting their school picture tomorrow too. That picture of Bobby or Suzy is just as important as anything. True that I've seen Moms and Dads actually embarrassed to show their school picture - but I bet you right now you have more than one of those in your wallet.
